Bourton-on-the-water

Bourton-on-the-Water is a town in Gloucestershire, England. It is in the picturesque Cotswolds area and is known affectionately as the Venice of the Cotswolds. It is a very popular tourist destination with a number of well known attractions:
  • The river Windrush runs through the middle of the village and is spanned by several small but very attractive road and foot bridges.
  • The model village is an exact 1:10 replica of Bourton-on-the-Water and even includes a model of the model village itself.
  • Birdland
  • Model Railway
  • Cotswold Motor Museum
Many long distance walks start, finish or just pass through Bourton on the Water. One such route that begins it's 100 mile route north is the Heart of England Way *long distance walk The Heart of England Way starts here going north
