Bourassa (Electoral District)

Bourassa is the name of a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada. Its population is 99,862. (2001)

Geography

The district includes the former City of Montreal North, the western part of the neighbourhood of Rivire-des-Prairies and the eastern part of the neighbourhood of Sault-au-Recollet in the City of Montreal.

History

The electoral district of Hochelaga was created in 1966 from Mercier and Laval. The name comes from a street running through the three neighbourhoods which is named after Henri Bourassa. List of Members:
