Bonus StageBonus Stage (abbreviated BS) is an animated Flash action/adventure/comedy series that focuses attention on the randomness, sarcasm, and parodic moments of life. The cartoon is focused on Joel Dawson, a wannabe scientist that has a giant hobby for action. Phil Argus, a normal person with superpowers, follows Joel in his adventures and is mostly frustated, serious, and expressing facts. Phil also has a mom, named Jessica. She's middle-aged, but she acts and looks as if she's a 25-year-old woman who just wants to now fit in with the crew. She arrived when she couldn't stand her son, Phil, describing his life as miserable and empty. Rya is a robot created by Joel Dawson as an attempt for yet another 'trophy girlfriend' like June, another robot built by Joel, but Rya is quite different. She is a cynical monster who verbally rips people (Mostly Phil) apart, and she is not really Joel's girlfriend. It's not known why Rya has a robotic voice while June has a normal sounding one, but this is could be attributed to the bizarreness that is Joel Dawson. Other Characters - Evil (Elly in a dark costume) is a supervillain who has major issues, a very hateful person who tries to hurt Joel and Phil all the time.
- Elly is technically a loner and does not have many (maybe any) friends after the 'evil' incident (Episode 50: Evil's New Groove). She is left alone along with the other secondaries on Earth while the rest of the crew host the show in space. She may seem nice to you on the outside, but in the inside, DEEP inside her heart, she's rough, loathesome, and pure hatred, explaining why she's known as Evil.
- Craig is a slow and slur talking guy, so he gets annoying sometimes. He was also Rya's husband for 4-5 episodes (e.g. weeks), but then they got divorced after having a child named Rygar. (Combination of Rya and Craig - a + Craig - c & i (switch g & r around).
- 'June Crane is Joel's first attempt for a 'trophy girlfriend'. She is much nicer Rya and always states the obvious, like "Impossible's not a verb." and "(But it's not 101%!) That's merely impossible."
- 'The Tandy Brothers (Thomas and Tyrone) are two brothers that have tandy computers for heads, raised on the streets of eternia. They torture everyone (but especially Phil), once took over Joel's house, and almost took over the world.
- Rygar is the son of Rya and Craig, and he is a rowdy-rough robot human. He defeats most of the villains quickly and easily and oftentimes gets excessively violent.
- The Action Squad Detective Force' is a group of three spherical blue things with hair that resemble Bogey of Kid Radd crossed with Kirby. The squad consists of Rjgikossuxvd, which is pronounced 'Ryu', the green-haired leader, Fyre, the red-headed female, and Spink, the blue-haired tough one who is overly random and says "Bang-Bang" a lot and lampoons Cowboy Bebop's Spike Spiegel.
- Satan, as you may expect, is the ruler of Hell. However, it isn't as you expect. Hell is actually on the sun, and you have three choices on how you are to spend the rest of eternity there, either by watching Time Squad 24/7, Shrek 2 for 24/7, or eating his mom's horrible spaghetti. According to Phil, he and Satan go bowling on Thursdays and that he uses a skeleton as a bowling ball.
- Keen is based off of id's Commander Keen. He has various jobs, often which have no purpose. He defended Phil in episode 23, 2 Legit, against Rya's claim that he had murdered Joel. Keen has had the following jobs: Lawyer (#24, 2 Legit), Doughnut Baker (#29, Virtual Mailman), Eyebrow Raiser (#39, CurSING!), Taxi Driver (#49, HACKCURS Was The Worst Movie Ever Made), and Yard Pooper (#50, Evil's New Groove)
- Bup, only in episode 30, Virtual Candy. He took the form of a giant smiley that goes from happy to angry, and huge.

Suggested Names for Bonus Stage - Season 1-4 - Bonus Stage - Season 5 - Bonus Stage Worlds The Origin and More All this started with High Score, the original show before Bonus Stage, which we think it got started as an attempt to compete with Homestar Runner. Unfortunately, the cartoon only lasted 4 episodes and was cancelled due to lack of interest from the creator. Bonus Stage was created by Matt Wilson, a shy person who does not like being spoken to on most occasions. Matt also hates his fans, mostly for others being mean to new people on the High Score section of the Animated Diversions Forum. The reason why the forums are called that is because Matt Wilson runs a comic website called Animated Diversions that he works on with other people and Bonus Stage was part of it. Matt Wilson decided to use the same forum for Bonus Stage after it's move to the webtoon collection website Keentoons. Matt also does ALL the voices on the show (Note: If you're wondering how Matt gets Elly's voice on Bonus Stage, we believe that it is a sound-changing program he uses for female voices) and uses Fruity Loops Studio to create his background music and theme song. He uses Swift3D for his computer-generated images (often referred to as CGI) such as the intro (letters in the name), the houses (visuals are advanced), and his new introductory Couch Slave Studios scene. Matt Wilson was also about to do Starboy and the Captain of Outer Space, a cartoon tributing to Home Movies on adult swim. Fortunately, a pilot was made. Unfortunately, the pilot was never posted to the public and its 1st episode wasn't made. He also has plans for another show called Roller Koh (Rollercoaster without the last syllable and a changed and spaced 3rd syllable), which we hope will make a episode and live to be a full cartoon like Bonus Stage. The Charismaville Files There is a 'serious parody site' called The Charismaville Files (relating parody to The X-Files) and it shows facts and notes about the show, topped with photoshopped pictures of scenes featuring the characters on BS. All the information (or the 'conspiracy') about R.D. and D.G. (Red Dude and Dumb Guy) is only a joke and is not meant to offend people. There is also an interview of Matt Wilson included, information on the early cancelled High Score, and show notes (some referring to R.D. and D.G.) on the episodes of Bonus Stage. Information Character quantity from its start to right now: 2 to 25+ to 5+ characters. Episode quantity: 62 episodes. Main setting currently: Outer Space Main setting originally: Charismaville Bonus Stage Death Count: 115 External links - Bonus Stage - The cartoon itself.
- Bonus Stage Wiki - A MediaWiki site dedicated to everything Bonus Stage. The website was later disrespected under the list of 'No Thanks' on Episode 60.
