Bombardier Cseries

The Bombardier CSeries are a new family of 100-seat regional jets scheduled to enter service about 2010. There are two models currently announced, the 110-seat CSeries 110, and the 130-seat CSeries 130. The CSeries is larger than the current Canadair Regional Jets, and replaces the cancelled BRJX project. The aircraft are designed to seat passengers in a 3 by 2 arrangement in coach and a 2 by 2 arrangement in business/first class, similar to the Boeing 717. Unlike the 717, the aircraft will have underslung engine pods. It will compete directly against the EMBRAER E-Jets and the Airbus A320 family, but will probably not face off with the Boeing 717 since Boeing has ended the program.
