Bob Cole (Composer)

Robert "Bob" Cole (July 11, 1861August 2, 1911) was an African American lyricist, composer and vaudeville performer. He joined forces with Billy Johnson, J. Rosamond Johnson and James Weldon Johnson to produce hit songs. He was one of the first blacks to become part of "white" musical entertainment (in "blackface"). Cole, Bob Cole, Bob Cole, Bob
