Bmw Isetta

The BMW Isetta is a small, three- or four-wheeled microcar with one or two (depending on country) powered wheels in the back and two wheels in the front. The entire front is the entry door. The word "Isetta" is a combination of the company name of the Italian Iso the licensor of this model, with the suffix "-etta" indicating small. The engine is a single cylinder of varying capacity, depending on year and model. Most Isettas do not include the three-wheel feature, except for very few Isettas manufactured in GB that had three wheels for tax purposes. The majority of Isettas have two rear wheels set in a narrow track. Later developments led to a four wheel version (BMW Isetta 600). The Isetta was a semi-regular feature of the sitcom "Family Matters," where it served as Steve Urkel's vehicle.
