Blair Waldorf

Blair Cornelia Waldorf, better known to readers as Blair Waldorf, is a character in the Cecily von Ziegesar series of books, Gossip Girl.

Character information

Waldorf is a rich girl from upper New York City. Most of her friends also have a vast fortune. These include her best friend, "Serena van der Woodsen", "Kati", "Jenny", "Nate" and "Chuck", who is described in the book as a sex-addict that has gone as far as raping "Kati" ("Kati" was drunk when "Chuck" had sex with her), and who is, out of Blair's friend's, the furthest one from her. Blair Waldorf's mother is "Elena Waldorf". They live in New York's Fifth avenue. It remains unclear through the series whether the Waldorfs have any relation to the owners of the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel. Blair Waldorf's family life is a little complicated, because she does not like her mother's soul mate, "Cyrus Rose". A fashion setter, Blair considers "Cyrus" tastes and manners to be outdated. Blair Waldorf attends "Constance High School". At the age of seventeen, she is planning to get married, and her wedding will be covered by Vogue magazine. Blair attends Constance Billard School for Girls
