Blackadder Hall

Blackadder Hall has been the offical residence of the fictional Blackadder family since before 1648. It has been the home of Sir Edmund Blackadder and Lord Edmund Blackadder. During the Elizabethan period, Queen Elizabeth I held her court at Blackadder Hall and encountered the present day Lord Blackadder. She asked him for a present and he gave her some polo mints. She rewarded him with her crown. In 1648 when King Charles I was in flight from Oliver Cromwell and the Roundheads, Sir Edmund Blackadder allowed him to stay in a blackcurrant bush at Blackadder Hall. However, Oliver Cromwell arrived and captured the King. On New Year's Eve 1999, Lord Edmund Blackadder entertained guests at Blackadder Hall. He told them he had built a time machine and he would go back in time and collect any historical items they wanted. The time machine actually led to a trap door to the basement where he had a collection of items. But to his surprise the time machine actually worked. Other Blackadder family residences include Castle Blackadder and a house in Drury Lane.
