BioWare Corp. is a Canadian electronic entertainment company founded in February 1995 by medical doctors Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk, and Augustine Yip. It is based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. BioWare specializes in creating computer and console video games and has become most famous for computer role-playing games. In particular it has created the Infinity Engine, which can be used as a core component for development of computer RPGs based on Dungeons & Dragons. Muzyka and Zeschuk are currently joint CEOs of BioWare; Yip left in early 1997 to return to medicine.

BioWare is currently working on the RPG Jade Empire (scheduled to be released on the Xbox on 14 April, 2005), the PC RPG Dragon Age and an untitled console project. They are also overseeing development of Neverwinter Nights 2 by Obsidian Entertainment. They previously oversaw Obsidian on (2004).
