Binyamin Elon

Binyamin "Benny" Elon (1954-) is a Member of Knesset. Elon is ninth-generation Jerusalemite and has resided in Beit El for 20 years. Binyamin Elon served two terms as Tourism Minister of the State of Israel and is also the chairman of the small right-wing Moledet party. Elon replaced the assassinated Moledet leader Rehavam Zeevi, who also held the post of Tourism Minister. Elon rejects the mainstream efforts for establishing peace in the middle east (see Road map for peace). Instead he suggests an alternative proposal he calls The Right Road to Peace, centering around transfer of Israeli Arabs. See Elon Peace Plan. He is the author of God's Covenant with Israel: Establishing Biblical Boundaries in Today's World (2005). Elon, Binyamin Elon, Binyamin
