Bingogate

Bingogate was a scandal that occurred during the administration of former Premier of British Columbia Michael Harcourt, involving the skimming of charity funds for use by the ruling NDP. Although Harcourt was never implicated in the scandal, he resigned as party leader and premier in 1996, citing the principle that as the leader of the party, he was ultimately responsible for any misconduct in his government even if it did not directly involve him.
