Billy Kinsley

Billy Kinsley was a musician with the Merseybeats until 1966 when he left to join a band called The Merseys. He recorded a song called Sorrow with the band before embarking on a solo career, where he recorded Bye Bye Baby. This song is not to be confused with a Four Seasons track of a similar title as this was an original back to the roots raw Merseybeat tune. Kinsley had no more success charts wise after 1966 but along with Tony Crane should be remembered as founder members of the phenomenon that was Merseybeat; a little bit of rock n roll, a little bit of R&B, a little skiffle and a little something special banged out by a lot of talented Liverpool groups. Kinsley, Billy
