Billy (Crater)Billy is a lunar crater that is located at the southern fringes of the Oceanus Procellarum, in the western portion of the Moon. It lies to the southeast of the similar-sized Hansteen crater, and west-southwest of the flooded Letronne crater. The interior floor of Billy crater has been flooded by basaltic lava, leaving dark surface due to the low albedo. The portion of the rim remaining above the surface is narrow and low, with a thin inner wall. To the north of the crater is a triangular mountainous formation named Mons Hansteen, from the nearby crater. Southeast of Billy crater is a rille, designated Rima Billy, that runs 70 kilometers to the south. Satellite craters By convention these features are identified on Lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater mid-point that is closest to Billy crater. | idth="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Latitude | width="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Longitude | width="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Diameter | | lign="center"|A | align="center"|14.3° S | align="center"|46.3° W | align="center"|7 km | | lign="center"|B | align="center"|12.2° S | align="center"|47.6° W | align="center"|25 km | | lign="center"|C | align="center"|16.1° S | align="center"|49.0° W | align="center"|6 km | | lign="center"|D | align="center"|14.9° S | align="center"|48.3° W | align="center"|11 km | | lign="center"|E | align="center"|15.0° S | align="center"|49.6° W | align="center"|2 km | | lign="center"|H | align="center"|15.6° S | align="center"|49.6° W | align="center"|3 km | | lign="center"|K | align="center"|12.9° S | align="center"|48.7° W | align="center"|4 km |
