Bible Baptist

Bible Baptist is a descriptive title used most commonly either by churches of the Baptist Bible Fellowship International or unaffiliated Independent Baptists. The use of the term Bible Baptist seems to be primarily an outgrowth of fundamentalism, and is intended to designate Baptists that believe the Bible and in the inspiration & inerrancy of Scripture, as opposed to liberal theology which they see as a rejection of the Bible. The Bible Baptist Institute, founded by J. Frank Norris and Louis Entzminger, was influential in popularizing the name. Most Bible Baptist churches are either members of the BBFI or were once affiliated with it. Bible Baptist always carries the idea Bible-believing Baptist!
