Bhairappa

Shri S. L. Bhairappa is one of the greatest contemporary kannada novelists. He was honoured with presidentship of Kannada Sahitya Sammelana. He is the winner of Sahitya Akademi award and Niranjana award. His works are translated into most of Indian languages, including English and are widely read. His novels Matadaana, Tabbaliyu neenaade magane and Vamshavrukha have been made movies.
