In 1965, Andy Gray opened Andy's Records and set up a market stall in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Year by year he opened up more shops. Andy's Records prided themselves of having enthusiatic knowledgeable staff. There are now over 30 in the UK. In 1975 he started the BGO label, together with Mike Gott, based in Bury St Edmunds. They often exist in small towns where there are no large stores other than supermarkets. For the fan of nostalgia they offer what is often the only source of artists such as Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band or Dory Previn.
