Bev Meslo

Bev Meslo is a Vancouver based socialist and political activist. In 2003 she ran as a candidate for the leadership of the New Democratic Party of Canada on behalf of the Socialist Caucus but won only 1.1% of the vote at the NDP leadership convention. Meslo was the NDP candidate in the 2004 Canadian election for the riding of Vancouver South. There she was unsuccessful in running against Liberal Party of Canada candidate Ujjal Dosanjh, a former leader of the New Democratic Party of British Columbia and briefly Premier of British Columbia before his and the BC NDP's election loss in 2001. Meslo placed third with 20% of the vote. Meslo, Bev Meslo, Bev
