Berkeley Mafia

The Berkeley Mafia was a U.S.-educated group of Indonesian economists who pulled their nation out of crisis in the mid-1960s. Their efforts brought Indonesia back from the brink of famine and disaster and gave it three decades of growth, as well as laying the foundation for long-term U.S.-Indonesian strategic cooperation, which was important during the Cold War.
