The Battle of Tabouk (also called the Battle of Tabuk) took place in October 630 AD, during the month of Ramadan. In this battle the soldiers of Islam, under the leadership of Muhammad, established a training and fighting camp in Tabouk during the sacred month of fasting, so as to show the strength of the Muslims in a clash with the army of the Byzantine Empire.
