Baron SegraveThe title of Baron Segrave is a very ancient one in the Peerage of England, created by writ in 1295. The sixth Baron Segrave had previously succeeded to the title of Baron Mowbray, and thereafter the two baronies have remained united. The two baronies, however, were shortly separated, in the nineteenth century, when both titles were in abeyance, and the barony of Segrave was called out of abeyance about two weeks after the barony of Mowbray.
