Barbier (Crater)Barbier is a lunar impact crater that is located on the southern hemisphere on the far side of the Moon. It forms a matched pair with Cyrano crater to the north-northwest, and it lies to the southeast of the huge Garagin walled-plain. Southwest of Barbier crater is Sierpinski crater, and to the southeast is the Mare Ingenii. The outer rim of Barbier crater has been eroded somewhat by subsequent impacts, particularly at the north end where the wall has been degraded by several small craterlets. A small crater lies across the eastern rim, and the southern rim is wider and irregular in shape. A small crater lies near where a central peak would be located, offset slightly to the east of the mid-point. Satellite craters By convention these features are identified on Lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater mid-point that is closest to Barbier crater. | idth="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Latitude | width="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Longitude | width="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Diameter | | lign="center"|F | align="center"|23.8° S | align="center"|158.1° E | align="center"|14 km | | lign="center"|D | align="center"|23.0° S | align="center"|160.2° E | align="center"|24 km | | lign="center"|G | align="center"|24.4° S | align="center"|160.1° E | align="center"|17 km | | lign="center"|H | align="center"|25.3° S | align="center"|160.5° E | align="center"|17 km | | lign="center"|J | align="center"|26.0° S | align="center"|160.1° E | align="center"|43 km | | lign="center"|K | align="center"|26.5° S | align="center"|159.4° E | align="center"|7 km | | lign="center"|U | align="center"|22.8° S | align="center"|155.1° E | align="center"|38 km | | lign="center"|V | align="center"|22.3° S | align="center"|154.6° E | align="center"|29 km |
