Baltimore (Song)

Baltimore is the name of a song recorded in 1979 by singer/songwriter Tori Amos (then known by her birth name of Myra Ellen Amos). It was recorded in response to a contest by the city of Baltimore to record a new theme song for their baseball team, the Baltimore Orioles. It won the contest. Pressed on only 500 7" vinyl records, it was given a citation by the Mayor of Baltimore, Maryland. As of the year 2002, a copy of this record complete with original sleeve sells for $2,000-$5,000 USD. A copy with an original resume for "Ellen Amos" could go for as much as $7,000. It features a b-side track called "Walking With You". It was released on "MEA Records," which was simply Amos' initials.
