BahrainonaBahrainona (Our Bahrain) is the national anthem of Bahrain. Adopted in 1971 after gaining independence, it was written by Mohamed Sudqi Ayyash (1925-). The composer is unknown. In 2002 the ruler Hamad ibn Isa Al-Khalifa declared himself king and his country a kingdom. The national anthem was subsequently changed. The below anthem is thus outdated.
