Azetbur

In the Star Trek universe, Azetbur is the only revealed female Chancellor of the Klingon Empire. She assumed the role in 2293 upon the assassination of her father, Chancellor Gorkon. Azetbur became a leader at a critical time in Klingon history, as her homeworld of Qo'noS had just suffered severe ecological damage due to the explosion of its moon, Praxis. She was prominent during the Khitomer accords, leading to an unprecedented period of relative peace between the Federation and the Klingons. Curiously, as of 2367, a law was in place prohibiting females to assume the role of Klingon Chancellor or serving on the High Council.
