Australian Pink Floyd Show

The Australian Pink Floyd Show is a tribute band to Pink Floyd. They are considered by many as the best with their concerts that almost duplicate actual Floyd concerts. They are also the only tribute band that have recreated David Gilmour's guitar set up — including the rare box that is used to create the whale sounds in Echoes of which only four are known to exist, the other three being owned by Gilmour. The band was formed in 1988 in South Australia In 1996, APS played at David Gilmour's 50th birthday, and are the only tribute band to play for any Pink Floyd member. They are also the only Pink Floyd tribute to play at the Royal Albert Hall On November 26th 2001, the APF became the only Floyd tribute in the world, to play at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall. They were joined on stage by the choir from the Islington Green School for a rousing rendition of 'Another Brick in the Wall'. The Islington Green School famously provided the original children's voices on 'The Wall', and one of the 2001 kids is the daughter of an original choir member who sang on the record! Oh, and, Roger Waters is said to have been in the audience!
