Augusto B. Legua Y Salcedo

Augusto Bernardino Legua y Salcedo (18631932) was twice the President of Peru, from 1908 to 1912 and from 1919 to 1930. His acceptance of the Tacna-Arica compromise led to economic depression. His poor economic decisions and dictatorial style of ruling eventually caused his overthrow.
