Atmos

ATMOS Software Productions Pty. Ltd. is an Australian company devoted to computer game development. ATMOS developed the scenario for Ambrosia Software's Escape Velocity Nova. The meaning of the name "ATMOS" is unclear, though since it is derived from the word "atmosphere", some have suggested this implies that ATMOS is "without fear". During the development of EV Nova and beyond, two of the company, Luke Smart and Dafydd Williams (and sometimes some others), would occasionally record what became dubbed On ATMOS Tonight or just ATMOS Tonight. These presented the thoughts of the two developers in a humorous fashion. Afterwards, these were published on the Internet at Ambrosia's website for fans of EV Nova to listen to.
