Atilano Cordero Badillo

Atilano Cordero Badillo (born c. 1943) is a Puerto Rican entrepreneur and supermarket owner. In 1967, he founded Supermercados Grande, which he still leads. He also has opened retail food stores and the "Cordero Badillo cash and carry" (in Puerto Rico, a "cash and carry" is a type of supermarket where customers buy food and appliances in boxes, they pay a price that would be minor when compared to buying the same amount of products without being boxed). Cordero Badillo is a life long heart disease sufferer, and he has given amounts of his wealth to heart disease research organizations. Through his career, he has won numerous awards, and he belongs to the Top Business Leaders association of Puerto Rico's Hall of Fame. He was named president of that organization from 1986 to 1990.
