Asz

Asz is a sweet dessert wine made in the Tokaj wine region of Hungary and Slovakia. Formerly one of the world's greatest wines, the era of communist rule led to a decline in the quality and reputation of Tokaji wines. However, since 1990 a considerable amount of investment has gone into the Tokaj region, creating what has been dubbed the "Tokaj Renaissance". See also the article on Tokaji wine.
