Associated Society Of Locomotive Engineers And Firemen

The Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) is a British trade union. It was founded in 1880 and is one of the trade unions representing train drivers (the other is the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers, RMT). Its current general secretary is Lew Adams. It is part of the International Transport Workers' Federation and the European Transport Workers Federation.
