Asghar Ali Engineer

Asghar Ali Engineer is one of the most articulate secular voices in India. He was born born in Salumbar, Rajasthan on 10th March, 1939. He was recently awarded Right Livelihood Award, considered as the 'alternative Nobel prizes' alongwith Swami Agnivesh -- for their 'strong commitment to promote values of co-existence and tolerance'. He has authored more than 40 books and is associated with Center for Study of Society and Secularism in Mumbai.
