Arto Records

Arto Records was a short lived record label based in the United States of America, from 1920 to 1923. Arto Records was owned by the Arto Company of Orange, New Jersey which in turn was owned by the Standard Music Roll Company, a business which made player piano rolls. They went into the gramophone record business in summer of 1920. Their recording studio was located in Manhattan, New York City. Artists who recorded for Arto included the California Ramblers, Lucille Hegamin, and the Original Memphis Five. Arto Records also pressed masters for other record companies, including Nordskog Records. Arto went out of business in 1923.
