Arrin Hawkins

Arrin Hawkins was the vice-presidential candidate of the Socialist Workers Party (USA) in the U.S. presidential election, 2004, filling the ticket below Roger Calero. Because she is younger than 35 years old and ineligible to be elected to the office under the U.S. Constitution, Margaret Trowe, the Socialist Workers' vice-presidential candidate from the 2000 ticket, stood in for her on some state ballots. Hawkins, a leader in the youth wing of the Socialist Workers' Party, is 28 years old. She holds a degree from the University of Minnesota, where she spent time in Senegal studying the role of women in African society.
