Armin Shimerman

Armin Shimerman (born November 5, 1949) is an American actor. He is perhaps best known for his appearances as the Ferengi bartender Quark in , though his involvement with the Star Trek franchise began when he played a (different) Ferengi in episode The Last Outpost. He was born in Lakewood, New Jersey. Along with Michael Ansara, John de Lancie, James Doohan, Jonathan Frakes, DeForest Kelley, Leonard Nimoy and Richard Poe, he is one of only eight actors to play the same character on three different Star Trek series. Shimerman is also well known as Principal Snyder in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He has also starred in Stargate SG-1 as one of the Nox and appeared as Stan the caddy in an episode of Seinfeld. He has written a series of books in which he provides a science fictional basis for the life of Dr. John Dee.
