Ariake, Saga

Ariake (有明町; -chou) had been a town located in the Kishima District of Saga prefecture, on the island of Kyushu, Japan until merged on January 1, 2005 to be a part of the town of Shiroishi. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 8,890 and a density of 271.37 persons per km². The total area was 32.76 km². The status of this municipality was changed from a village to a town on 1 October 1962.
