Arecales

Arecaceae Arecales is the botanical order which includes only the palm family, Arecaceae. This was formerly known as Palmae and is still sometimes known as Palmaceae. These are trees or shrubs, typically with a single stem and pinnate leaves whose stems clasp the stem and younger leaf bases.
