Archie Norman

Archibald John Norman (May 1, 1954) is the Conservative member of Parliament for Tunbridge Wells in England, since the 1997 general election. He had previously been Chief Executive of Asda, a large supermarket chain, and was credited with turning it around. He helped form the think tank Policy Exchange. Whilst in Parliament he served as a shadow minister from 1999 until 2001, when he returned to the backbenches. In 2004 he announced that he would stand down at the May 2005 general election.
