Arcacy

Arcacy is an alternative rock band formed in Troy, NY at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in late 1997 by Steve Green and Doug Vrooman. In August 1998, drummer Peter Kostakis joined the band, and the trio went into the studio to record a four-song demo just days later. In 1999, Arcacy added eight more original songs to the four recorded earlier, and independently released a 12-song CD. The CD was distributed through indie distributor The Orchard, and became available worldwide through online retailers such as Amazon.com. The band's website does not appear to have been updated since 2001. However, the band is still together as of late 2004, and they have added bassist Don White in preparation for an upcoming second album, scheduled to be released in early 2005.
