Araman

Araman (Q. 'outside Aman') in J. R. R. Tolkien's Arda, is the narrow northern coastlands of Aman, north of Valinor, that lay outside the mountain-fence of the Pelri. It was deserted, mountainous and frozen because of its neighbouring with Helcaraxe which joined it with Beleriand, and this was the way Melkor, and later the Noldor took after their Exile.
