Apolo Nsibambi

) is the current prime minister of
Uganda
, a position he has held since
5 April
1999
. He was previously education minister from
May
1998
to
April
1999
and minister of public services from
1996
to
1998
. Before becoming a minister he was the director of the Institute of Social Research at
Makerere University
