Ape Index

Ape index is the measure of one's armspan relative to height. It is obtained by subtracting height from armspan (armspan - height). The number obtained can be positive or negative. A positive number (a positive ape index) indicates that one's armspan is greater than one's height, while a negative number (a negative ape index) means that one's armspan is less than one's height. A positive ape index is desireable in rock climbing.
