   Many Species
Anthrax Scopoli 1763 is a genus of bombyliid flies, commonly known as "bee flies" due to their often remarkable resemblance to bees. Anthrax is a large genus, and includes species parasitic to tiger beetles -- a trait unusual amongst the bombyliids. The genus' type is Musca morio Linnaeus, 1758, later found to be a misidentification of Musca anthrax Schrank, 1781.
