Anomalous operation (also known as anomalous perturbation) is a term describing a broad category of purported effects that can best be described as subject A stating an intent or goal to influence system B. System B can be literally anything, though the common experiement is a subject (or group of subjects) working to influence the output of a random system such as an electronic noise source. It covers phenomena as psychokinesis, micro-psychokinesis, faith healing, and others.
