Anna Wierzbicka (b. 1938) was born in Poland and is a linguist at the Australian National University. She is primarily known for her work in semantics, pragmatics, and cross-cultural linguistics and especially for the Natural Semantic Metalanguage. Books by Anna Wierzbicka:
