Anna Kathryn HolbrookAnna Kathryn Holbrook (born April 18, 1956) is an American soap opera actress. She was born in Fairbanks, Alaska. Her most notable television role has been her portrayal of Sharlene Frame Hudson on Another World, a role she played originally from 1988 to 1991. She returned late in 1993 as Kate Baker, a woman who started work at Bay City General Hospital. In 1994, with the help of her former husband John and her daughter Josie, an intervention was staged so that Sharlene could emerge from the shadows of the overpowering personality Kate had (as a result of being sexually abused, Sharlene had developed multiple personalities). She played the role of Sharlene until 1997 and returned again in 1999.
