Anibal Vern

Anibal Verón was an Argentinan bus driver from Salta. In November 2000 he was claiming with other workers from his company, because they were fired with 7 months of salary debt. The protest was hardly repressed, and Vern was shot and killed, allegedly by the Argentinan military. He died at the age of 37. Vern became known as a martyr and an Argentine workers protest organization was named after him.
