Andy Engman

Andy Engman (born c. 1911) is a cartoon animator. Engman worked for Disney Studios in Burbank, California from the animating of "Snow White" to the completion of the first animated version of "Jungle Book," about 1937 to 1971. He started out as an "In-Betweener" animator, did some Donald Duck and Goofy cartoons as a character animator, and went on to being a special effects animator. Later he went into production in a middle management position. He would bring home two or three "one-reeler" cartoons, and a live-action or animated feature every weekend. He also worked for the effect animations of "Make Mine Music" (1946) and the layout of "Der Fuehrer's Face" (1943). As of 2004, he is still alive and well and living near his son Drew Engman and daughter-in-law in Vicki Pinion Hills. As of his last birthday he is 92. Update: Andrew Alfons Engman died peacefully in his sleep on July 16, 2004 in Victorville California. He was 93. Engman, Andy Engman, Andy
