Andy And Prudence (Charmed)Andy Trudeau and Prudence Halliwell are characters in the television series Charmed, and this page details their subplot Andy and Prudence's plot Andy only appears in Series One of Charmed, as he is killed at the end of the series. Prudence survives in the program until the third series. Theirs is a "Romeo and Juliet"-like plot of a turbulent relationship in difficult circumstances that utlimately ends in tradgedy. Background Andy and Prudence were childhood friends (and sweethearts), growing up in the same neightborhood as each other. Andy had always suspected something unusual about Prudence, even in childhood, but could not produce evidence for his suspicions. At some unknown point in high school the pair lost touch. Andy went on to become a detective with the San Fransisco Police Department (SFPD). Prudence went on to become a ancient artefacts expert for Bucklands Auction House. Andy and Prudence in Series One Series One opens with Prudence's annoyance at Phoebe's alleged affair with her now ex partner, Roger, who also works at Bucklands. Once Prudence came into her powers, she invariably became involved in criminal cases involving murdered, missing, or otherwise harmed innocents. This brought her back into contact with her old flame, Andy. Their feelings apparently rekindled, they decide to date during the progress of the series. The relationship is turbulent - Pru's secret witchcraft causes a lot of difficulties. She is regularly late or a no show for dates and appointments with Andy, much to his frustration. Eventually Prudence casts a spell that will enable her to find out if Andy could ever accept her witchcraft without him remembering. The answer is unsure but leans in the negative direction, and she eventually calls the relationship off. As their awkward encounters at crime scenes, victim's and witnesses' homes increase, Andy's suspicions are aroused. It is revealed that he has considerable circumstantial evidence of the sisters' occult activities and their involvement in numberous cases. Eventually, Pru has no choice but to admit to her involvement and explain it. Whilst Andy is sceptical, it is eventually proven to him that Pru is not working against him, and he eventually comes to understand the true complexities of the relationship that went sour with Pru. However, once it looks like Andy and Prudence might get a chance without the magical problem, Andy eventually gives his life to save Prudence and her sisters to ensure the good work they do continues.
