Andr Kuipers

Andr Kuipers (born October 5, 1958, in Amsterdam) is the second Dutch astronaut (the first one being Wubbo Ockels) to engage on a space flight, on April 18, 2004. Using the Soyuz spacecraft Soyuz TMA-4, Gennady Padalka from Russia, Michael Fincke from the USA and Kuipers flew to the International Space Station. Kuipers returned to earth 9 days later together with ISS crew 8 with the Soyuz TMA-3. The other two will stay as ISS crew 9. The Soyuz TMA-4 will also stay.
