Anderson Bruford Wakeman HoweAnderson Bruford Wakeman Howe is a permutation of the popular music group Yes, which is a progressive rock band that formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of Yes former bandmembers vocalist Jon Anderson, drummer Bill Bruford, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and guitarist Steve Howe, along with Tony Levin playing bass and Chapman Stick. These Yes alumni had played on the very popular recordings produced by Yes in the 1970s. Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe produced one self-titled studio CD in 1989, and a live CD in 1993. The reason the album was not listed as an album by Yes, was because there was a different band called Yes at the time, led by bassist Chris Squire, who was the only original member of Yes who had never left the band. Squire also held the rights to the name "Yes". When Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe toured they titled their shows, "An Evening Of Yes Music Plus", and they were sued by Yes in an attempt to prevent any mention of Yes in their promotional material. Eventually, Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe and Yes resolved their differences and produced a Yes album titled Union that included recordings originally intended for separate albums by both groups.
